Ghost's night

This is a mixed story with some old Chinese tales and my own imagination.
There are many ancient buildings live in the modern city in China. The elders always say these gates are tunnels to another world. Every night, ghosts pass through them. The ancient Chinese world is divided into two worlds, YIN (like underworld) and YANG (like normal world). After they die, most people go to YIN; but for some people, who die with heavy grievances, their ghosts will still live in the normal world. Of course, these haunting ghosts will disturb the order of normal world, so the emperor of YIN sends out a powerful marshal to capture these ghosts. He wears a fearful black and white face, has an extremely long tongue. After he captured one ghost, he pastes a small signed magical paper on the ghost’s forehead, so it cannot escape.
Every night marshal goes through different gates to hunt these ghosts living in different times. Of course, this cannot be seen by living people. Only in her dream, the little girl saw the marshal with some captured ghosts came out from one gate, walking on the modern street, and later heading to another place. She was stunning to see these suffered people of different time in the same queue: a betrayed lady poisoned by her husband, a pride general ambushed and killed in his last battle, a cute child dead from plague, an emperor murdered by his brother, and other miserable.

This picture takes much more time than I thought. I was changing and rearranging the characters, layout, color all the time. I was nearly desperate one week ago, so I leave it for several days, until I regained a strong willing to move on(yep, I don’t want to be a haunting artist ghost :P).
